Privacy & Terms
This repository ships a product-policy template, not legal advice. Before public launch, the operator must replace jurisdiction-specific placeholders with reviewed terms and publish retention, subprocessors, legal bases, and contact details.
Privacy policy
CareerPilot processes account details, candidate-provided profile facts, resumes, generated documents, job activity, interview responses, consent records and security audit data to provide the service. Uploaded candidate facts are not treated as verified until the candidate confirms them.
Data minimization, access control, export, deletion, configurable retention and audit records are product requirements. AI features should receive only the data required for the feature. Full resumes, authentication tokens and personal contact details must not be written to application logs.
Configured job and model providers operate under their own terms. Production deployment must list actual subprocessors and any cross-border transfers. Users can request an export or deletion from Settings → Privacy.
Terms of service
CareerPilot assists with job discovery, document preparation and interview preparation. Match scores and AI outputs are decision support, not guarantees of employment or legal, financial or immigration advice.
The service must not fabricate candidate qualifications. Users are responsible for reviewing generated materials and must explicitly approve an application package before marking it applied. Automated submission is only permitted through officially supported integrations and with candidate approval.
Users must not upload malicious content, violate third-party platform terms or use CareerPilot to misrepresent their experience. The operator may suspend access necessary to protect the service or comply with law.
